AAC Blocks are the future?

AAC Blocks are known as Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, which is lightweight and manufactured through a reaction of aluminum powder and a proportionate blend of lime, cement, and sand, known as fly ash. Presently, construction works such as high-rise buildings, offices, and residential houses are growing at a very fast pace every year. They are commonly found as masonry blocks. Blocks remain of  the most important building material. AAC Blocks are being frequently used in modern architecture, especially in dwelling buildings or for construction of load-bearing walls. Nowadays, the accumulation of heat and moisture in building walls plays an important role in its maintenance and energy conservation.

AAC Block is a building material used for both interior and exterior construction. It is a special type of concrete block made up of fine aggregates. It was developed by John Axel Erikkson, a Swedish Architect in 1924. AAC Block is an alternate building material that has building properties as wood. As we know, wood has many advantages like good thermal insulation, solid structure, and easy to work, but they are combustible, can decay and are at risk of termite damage. So AAC Block can completely remove the risk of termite, decaying and combustion of the construction. They are one of the best solutions to red brick replacement. AAC Block has a high percentage of air, making up its volume and the materials that are used to make it can be recycled from the waste AAC material.  Recycled AAC Block can be grounded up finely and can be used as the aggregate in the new mixture. It is one of the best eco-friendly building materials. AAC Block can be produced more cost effectively and light weight in small scale as compared to large scale industries.

AAC Blocks have an attractive appearance and are readily adaptable to any style of architecture. Any design of styled construction can be achieved with AAC Block. They are extremely resource efficient and reduce the construction cost upto 20 percent.  Therefore, AAC Blocks are good for construction as compared to conventional red bricks.
